Sony and Intel are venturing into the depths of the Great Lakes with Project Shiphunt.  Today, five high school students from Saginaw, Michigan will join scientists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration at the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary on Lake Huron. Using Sony* VAIO* laptops powered by 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ processors, the students will find a lost shipwreck, investigate its identity and map it in 3D detail.  Follow the adventure on the Project Shiphunt site, starting in June.

Today at the Screenmedia Expo 2011, Intel is showcasing compelling shopper experiences through eight innovative and interactive demonstrations including the Intel® Digital Signage Endcap, Intel® Retail Interactive Fashion Experience, adiVERSE, developed with adidas and iSample, developed with Kraft Foods as part of The Connected Store. A concept showcasing the latest technology for retail and digital signage market segments, The Connected Store is based on the Intel® Core™ processor family and 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor family. A majority of the demonstrations also feature the Intel® AIM Suite, an anonymous video analytics software making it possible to obtain audience measurement data, including how many shoppers interacted with the demo, for how long, during what time of day, their gender and age bracket.
