At a fireside chat today at Intel’s booth at CES, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich discussed how everyday objects from bottle warmers and baby clothing to coffee mugs and vending machines are increasingly infused with intelligent technologies to improve people's lives and open the door to new opportunities for businesses. He shared Intel’s strategy in this space including Intel® Edison, new Intel® Quark technology-based computer housed on an SD card form factor with built-in wireless. Intel Edison will enable rapid innovation and product development by inventors and entrepreneurs to create innovative Internet-connected wearables or other small form factor devices. Dulcie Madden, co-founder and CEO of Rest Devices shared the stage with Brian, talking about a smart baby onesie they developed to monitor baby’s vitals and sleeping patterns so parents and babies can get better and more rest. Samir Hanna, vice president and general manager of consumer products for Autodesk also discussed how the industry is providing tools to make designs, 3D printing and technology projects easy and efficient for entrepreneurs and makers alike, including Autodesk 123D* Circuits, part of the Autodesk 123D family of apps.
