Intel Developer Forum (IDF) San Francisco 2011
In 1997, the first Intel Developer Forum was held in San Francisco. It was a modest affair, almost as small as one of Intel's chips, with no buzz or media coverage and just 200 software and hardware developers in attendance over three days. Fourteen years later, IDF is back in San Francisco to host a considerably higher number of attendees. This week's event is expected to draw more than 5,000 people from around the world, all here to be part of a computing-communications ecosystem that spans the worlds of mobility, digital home, digital enterprise and technology and research. Intel's biggest show-and-tell, this year themed "The Sky's Not the Limit. It's the Baseline," is highlighted by daily keynotes by Intel executives, over 150 technical sessions presented by top Intel and industry experts and more than 180 leading companies hosting hands-on demonstrations of their newest innovations and future technologies. This week's event will be covered by more than 600 credentialed journalists and analysts, and countless more worldwide. We thank you for your interest and hope to deliver a compelling show.
