Todd M. Underwood is vice president of finance and interim chief financial officer (CFO) of Intel. Prior to his January 31, 2019, appointment to interim CFO, Underwood was vice president of finance and director of corporate planning and reporting since August 2016. In this role, Underwood was responsible for leading Intel’s financial planning processes, management reporting, and quarterly earnings process. He was also responsible for supporting corporate staff functions including legal, finance, human resources and information technology.
From June 2015 to August 2016, he served as vice president of finance and co-executive-in-residence with responsibility for leading the integration activities of Intel’s $16.7 billion acquisition of Altera, now the Intel Programmable Solutions Group. Prior to that, he was vice president of finance and controller for the Mobile and Communications Group with responsibility for financial management and reporting of Intel’s tablet, smartphone and wireless communications businesses.
Earlier in his career Underwood held positions as director of finance for Intel Capital supporting mergers and acquisitions and equity investments, as well as group controller for the data center business group. Underwood joined Intel in 1992 in the corporate accounting group.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Oregon and earned his MBA degree from the University of Portland.
