With “Black Friday” nearly upon us, a new infographic from Intel shows that U.S. consumers spend almost $300,000 per minute shopping online, producing an unprecedented amount of data around shopping habits and preferences. Consumers also crave deals – 78 percent would purchase more from shops that send them targeted offers. However 59 percent of retailers cite that lack of consumer insights has prevented them from creating a more personalized shopping experience. The insights are there for the taking. Retailers are starting to leverage big data technologies to provide more tailored shopping experiences, helping to increase sales and create more loyalty from 85 percent of customers – delivering a better experience for both consumers and their favorite stores.
