Chip Shot: Exciting New Roles for Intel’s Embedded Executives

Intel confirmed the appointment of Doug Davis, an Intel vice president and former general manager for the Intel Embedded and Communications Group (ECG), as the lead for a new business unit, the Netbook and Tablet Group (NTG). Ton Steenman, also a vice president for the Intel Architecture Group, has been named as the new general manager of the Embedded and Communications Group, a division that focuses on bringing intelligence and connectivity to amazing applications, such as agriculture devices, cars, retail systems, energy management appliances and fitness equipment.
