Chip Shot: Firsts at this Year’s Intel Capital Global Summit

There were a number of firsts at the 16th annual Intel Capital Global Summit. New President Wendell Brooks gave his first public address on the future of the world’s largest corporate venture investor. The first-ever Intel Capital Entrepreneur of the Year Award went to Virtustream, whose founders in less than six years took their startup from garage to $1.2B exit (one of Intel Capital’s largest). In another Global Summit first, five existing portfolio companies unveiled new products: Altia SystemsAvogyBraigo LabsFortscale and Two Bit Circus.
