As the tablet market continues to grow and evolve, Intel is working closely with a range of customers to address the requirements of varied industries and market segments. Two recent examples are from Motion and Cisco. The rugged, lightweight Motion® CL900 Tablet PC incorporates the Intel® Atom™ Z670 processor, providing the ideal balance between power and battery consumption and is already gaining wide acceptance in the healthcare and retail segments. The Cisco Cius, also based on the Intel Atom processor-based platform, is designed for the enterprise and combines secure voice, video, collaboration, desktop virtualization and transformational business applications integrated into the user experience. The device provides customers with mobility, virtual content creation and computing capabilities and a seamless integration with a comprehensive suite of collaboration applications, including Cisco WebEx, Cisco Quad, and HD video interoperability with Cisco TelePresence. Cisco Cius tablets are already being used by companies such as Verizon, whose UCC sales team is increasing productivity by responding quickly to customers’ questions about service availability, while also leveraging the video features to communicate with specialists should customers have additional questions. The Cius is also now available to Verizon’s global enterprise customer base.
