Chip Shot: Intel Gives Back to the Android Community through Code for Good Program

To further its commitment to the Android community, Intel today announced an extension to its Code for Good program aimed at solving social issues through software-based solutions. As part of the program, Intel is donating up to USD $45,000 to three notable non-profits, including Code.Org, and, which are focused on helping the software developer community through ongoing education and technical programs. Intel will donate $1 for every @intelsoftware retweet about Code for Good starting at 10 a.m. PT. The campaign is hosted on the Android Developer Field Guide, a site that offers developers immediate and free access to Intel tools and online resources to ideate, design, build and launch Android apps. Available tools include Intel® Integrated Native Developer Experience and the Intel® XDK HTML5 Cross-platform Development Tool.
