Chip Shot: Intel Powers New ASUS Smartphone and World’s Slimmest Windows 2 in 1 Device

Today at CES 2015, Intel’s Senior Vice President of the Client Computing Group Kirk Skaugen joined ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih at the ASUS press conference to unveil Intel-based devices. The Transformer Book Chi comprises three fanless models with Intel processors and is the world’s slimmest Windows-based 2 in 1. The ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi is powered by an Intel® Core M™ processor for strong performance and power efficiency, while the ASUS Transformer Book T100 Chi and the ASUS Transformer Book T90 Chi both have an Intel® Atom™ processor (Bay Trail). Intel will power the ASUS ZenFone 2, the new flagship smartphone in the ZenFone family. The new smartphone features a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS display and a 64-bit Intel Atom processor Moorefield) coupled with Intel’s LTE Advanced modem, Intel® XMM™ 7260, for fast and reliable performance and connectivity.
