At the opening keynote from Intel today at Computex, Intel President Renee James outlined momentum for the Intel® RealSense™ 3D camera, the world’s first and smallest integrated 3D camera delivering depth sensing for user-facing devices so precise it enables truly natural and immersive interaction. It is already committed for delivery from eight OEMs spanning 2 in 1s, laptops and all-in-one PCs at major retailers across the United States and Europe. James announced that the company is tracking over 40 software applications committed to bring to life the Intel RealSense experience. Many of these were announced today for the first time at Computex, including Arcsoft, FaceShift, ooVoo, Opera, Steinberg, Gaijin Games, and Playtales who will release titles such as Garfield and Wizard of Oz. FaceShift was demonstrated on stage, using the Intel RealSense 3D camera to create real-time avatar that mimics the users exact facial movements. These announcements build on the previously announced third-party collaborations and plans with ISVs to bring Intel® RealSense™ experiences to life.
