Chip Shot: Renée James Named Vice Chair of National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee

Intel President Renée James was named Vice Chair of the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee which advises the U.S. President on a wide range of policy and technical issues related to telecommunications, information systems, information assurance, infrastructure protection, and other national security and emergency preparedness concerns. Previously, as a member of the committee, she co-authored the “Report to the President on Information and Communications Technology Mobilization” outlining the government’s role to mobilize resources and lead the country through major cyber security events. During her career at Intel, James spearheaded the company’s strategic expansion into proprietary and open source software and services for applications in enterprise, security and cloud-based computing.
