Video: Intel Celebration Rings Bell to Open Nasdaq Trading

Intel started its 50th anniversary early Wednesday, July 18, 2018, with celebrations in Santa Clara, California, and New York City. At 6:30 a.m. PDT, after a 10-second countdown, Bob Swan, Intel’s chief financial officer and interim chief executive officer, rang the bell to open trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market. In a small break from tradition — and in a nod to Intel’s world-famous five-note jingle — the Nasdaq bell ring was accompanied by the Intel bong. (Credit: Intel Corporation)
