Pushkar Ranade
Chief Technology Officer and Chief of Staff to the CEO
Pushkar Ranade is chief technology officer of Intel Corporation. In this role, he leads Intel’s technology strategy and special technology projects, and oversees the development of critical emerging technologies, including quantum computing, neuromorphic computing, photonics, and novel materials.
Ranade also serves as chief of staff and technology advisor to Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, helping align Intel’s technology strategy, business priorities, and execution agenda. He reports directly to the CEO.
A longtime Intel engineer with more than 17 years at the company across two tenures, Ranade has held senior technical leadership roles across Intel Foundry and Intel’s product businesses. Early in his Intel career, he contributed to transistor process integration and development for Intel’s 65nm, 45nm, and 22nm nodes from early pathfinding through high–volume ramp. More recently, he contributed to technology definition and design-technology co-optimization as part of Intel’s products.
Between his Intel tenures, Ranade served as vice president of technology development at SuVolta Inc., where he led development of a novel low-power transistor technology from concept through volume ramp.
Ranade is a widely published author and inventor with deep expertise in semiconductor device physics and transistor process integration. He holds a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and is based in Santa Clara, California.
