Sachin Katti is senior vice president, chief technology and AI officer, and general manager of the Network and Edge Group (NEX) at Intel Corporation. He is responsible for leading Intel’s overall artificial intelligence strategy and AI product roadmap, as well as Intel Labs, the company’s relationship with the startup and developer ecosystems, and NEX.

Before joining Intel, Katti was a professor of electrical engineering and computer science at Stanford University, where he conducted groundbreaking research in wireless communications, networking and applied coding theory. His academic career has been distinguished by accolades, including the ACM Doctoral Dissertation Award (honorable mention) and the William Bennett Prize for Best Paper in IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking.

Katti is also a successful entrepreneur, having founded and led technology startups that have significantly impacted the networking and AI sectors. He co-founded Kumu Networks, pioneering self-interference cancellation technology, and later founded Uhana, which developed advanced AI solutions for mobile network optimization and was acquired by VMware.

An influential leader in the telecommunications industry, Katti co-chaired the Technical Steering Committee of the O-RAN Alliance and was instrumental in driving the adoption of open and intelligent radio access networks globally.

Katti holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BTech in electrical engineering from IIT Bombay.
