Intel host Christmas party for Leixlip Senior Citizens
200 guests from Leixlip join the Christmas party at the Springfield hotel
On Thursday November 28th, the annual Leixlip Senior Citizens Christmas Party, hosted by Intel, took place. The party brings together seniors from the local community and a team of Intel employees to celebrate the festive season.
The senior citizens party has been running for over 20 years and continues to be a special evening both for local residents and for the Intel employees who attend. Over 200 guests, many who were collected by bus from a number of different locations across Leixlip, came together at the Springfield Hotel where the party was held.
Intel employees welcomed the guests as they arrived to the hotel and got comfortable in their seats. Before the meal was served, Intel Ireland’s Community Relations Director, Sarah Sexton, welcomed the guests and brought them together for a short moments silence to say grace. Shortly afterwards a traditional dinner of turkey and ham was served to guests. This was followed by a tasty Christmas dessert of Christmas pudding or roulade, tea and coffee.
Once dinner had been wrapped up the band began to play, and everyone hit the dancefloor. Bobby Harpur and the rest of the band kept the crowd entertained for the night. Everyone was on their feet, and most guests remained on the dancefloor until the end of night. There was a great mix of dance hits and Christmas classics.
As guests left the party, they were gifted a box of chocolates to enjoy.
Thank you to all those who attended the 2024 event and to the numerous Intel employees for their continued support.
