ChatPPT Collaborates with Intel to Launch Hybrid AI PC Edition

AI Super Builder can reduce costs by 50% while boosting use by 32%
Finding it a hassle to create presentation slides for your next meeting?
You’re not alone. A notable GfK study of over 1,000 office workers found that most office workers spend about 20 hours a month creating presentations, with upwards of 8 hours alone spent on formatting slides.
There’s an app for that. ChatPPT is a smart app that generates presentation slides in seconds.
Users simply provide input – like files, speeches, images or web links – and the AI powered tool does the rest.
Today, 100% of ChatPPT’s processing is done in the cloud, which is advantageous for larger AI models, but isn’t sustainable in the long run for three key reasons:
- High energy and token costs
- Risks cloud-only models present in keeping super-sensitive user data secure; and
- Privacy concerns from enterprise customers about sensitive corporate data being shared with cloud-based models.
Intel is here to help with AI Super Builder V2.8 tech
There had to be a better way forward. That’s when ChatPPT turned to Intel for help.
Leveraging Intel’s AI Super Builder V2.8 technology with hybrid AI functionality, ChatPPT’s improved app taps into the best of both cloud- and local-only AI agents: leveraging the compute power of the cloud for complex workloads (like generating 50-page slide decks), while running smaller workloads on the local PC (like changing the font size and color of a slide).
Furthermore, Intel’s AI Super Builder technology helps ChatPPT keep user data secure, preserving privacy and ensures sensitive data is not transmitted to the cloud.
Months of co-engineering between Intel and ChatPPT help solve two critical issues
Intel’s top engineering team spent months alongside their colleagues from ChatPPT to resolve two critical technical challenges:
- First, the joint teams had to figure out a way to deploy complex, end-to-end workflows that can run entirely on the user’s local PC. AI Super Builder was the ideal solution. “Intel’s AI Super Builder provided a complete on-device inference framework, allowing us to quickly deploy both the Logiliner traceability model and our document generation agent locally, achieving a complete on-device loop from content planning to final output,” shared Jack Zhou, CEO, ChatPPT.
- Second, the teams had to figure out a clever way to run multiple models (like planning, generation and traceability) on a PC without overwhelming and paralyzing the system. Using OpenVINO, the joint engineering team compressed the models, accelerating inference and creating a smoother user experience, explained Jack Zhou, CEO, ChatPPT.
ChatPPT’s Intel AI PC Edition AI model reduces cloud token costs by over 50%
The result: last December, ChatPPT launched an Intel AI PC Edition version of its AI model featuring hybrid AI capability: it reduced overall cloud compute token costs by over 50% while boosting the duration of the tool’s usage by over 32% versus the standard cloud version.
“Our partnership with leading AI innovators like ChatPPT exemplifies the power of collaboration. By jointly building a hybrid cloud-client ChatPPT solution using Intel AI Super Builder, we are showing the power of using AI PCs to reduce cloud costs and deliver a more secure user experience,”
—Todd Lewellen, Intel vice president and general manager, PC Ecosystem and AI Solutions.
Coming next: Expanded document creation workflows that run 100% on your local PC
ChatPPT isn’t done just yet.
More improvements are on the horizon, including an ambitious milestone to move document rendering capabilities from the cloud to run entirely on the users’ local PC.
This move will achieve a truly 100%-local document creation workflow and accelerate the transition of ChatPPT’s cloud-only model to include local-run capabilities, said Jack Zhou, CEO, ChatPPT.
ChatPPT is also leveraging the multimodal support framework enables to expand its content creation scenarios, such as enabling image-text composition and intelligent chart generation capabilities.
Creating highly specialized ChatPPT variants for specific industries – like academia, business analysis, education and financial services – are also new avenues now available to ChatPPT, enabled by AI Builder.
“Intel is not just a technology partner, but a key enabler in our journey to deliver secure, efficient, and cost-effective on-device intelligent creation,” said Jack Zhou, CEO, ChatPPT.
“From AI Super Builder to deep engineering collaboration, Intel helped us bring the ChatPPT AI PC Edition to users quickly. With the new Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 and the new Super Builder release, we are able to offload more cloud models to the local PC while enabling more local AI and hybrid AI features. We’re truly excited to continue working closely with Intel.”
